Dr. Reza Ghafoorian is an experienced patent attorney.  He drafts and prosecutes patent applications in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and the mechanical arts.

Dr. Ghafoorian also practices in the field of healthcare law.  His background as a medical doctor provides Dr. Ghafoorian with great insight about the legal issues and problems facing the healthcare industry.  Dr. Ghafoorian focuses his practice on counseling healthcare provider practices regarding federal and state healthcare compliance and healthcare transactions.

In addition, Dr. Ghafoorian is an experienced entrepreneur having co-founded Global Identity Bank, LLC, an identity repository that has developed proprietary software for identity theft prevention.

Prior to joining the Hansen Huang Technology Law Group, (which later merged with Roberts Mardula and Wertheim, LLC to become The Marbury Law Group, PLLC), Dr. Ghafoorian was an assistant state attorney for the Office of State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit, Florida, where he litigated a wide variety of cases for the State Attorney’s office as a first chair prosecutor.

Dr. Ghafoorian began his legal career at Burns Doane Swecker & Mathis LLP, where he drafted and prosecuted patent applications.
