Mr. Yates practices in computer, security and aviation related areas of patent processes and procedures. Mr. Yates possesses active Security Clearances and continues to provide systems engineering and process support to U.S. Government Agencies. He is a current Project Management Professional. Mr. Yates is a retired U.S. Navy Captain with extensive experience in the intelligence arenas.

- 1992 – 2007 Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Senior Vice President and Systems Engineer managing contracts in both the Government and Commercial arenas.
- 1990 – 1992 PAR Government Systems. Senior Vice President and General Manager of Washington Based operations.
- 1980 – 1990 General Electric Space Division. Section Manager and Senior Systems Engineer. Provided systems integration support to multiple intelligence agencies.
- 1967 – 1980 Active Duty United States Navy. Commissioned Officer Special Duty Intelligence. Numerous shore and sea duties. Retired Navy Captain.
