Practicing in patent, copyright, trademarks, trade secrets
and litigation related to these areas.  Particular emphasis
in drafting patent applications in the mechanical engineering
and electrical arts; appealing cases to the Board of Patent
Appeals and Interferences; drafting client requests for
reexamination; rendering validity and infringement options
for technical clients;and representing clients in all other aspects
of patent prosecution from initial disclosure to issuance of
patent.

ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE

1989 – 1999     United States Patent & Trademark Office, Arlington,
                           Virginia; Patent Examiner (Primary Patent Examiner
                           1994 - 1999)

                            Issued over 700 patents over 10 year at the Patent
                            Office.  Trained new examiners in regular, CPA,
                            appeal, reissue, reexamination, and PCT practice.
                            Examining duties included:  checking applications
                            for form, searching prior art, determining
                            patentability, and preparing written communication
                            to the applicant in a timely manner.  Experienced in
                            refrigeration art (Class 62), including:
                            superconductor refrigeration, semiconductor chip
                            cooling, biological cryopreservation, cryogenic air
                            and hydrocarbon distillation, and cryogenic removal
                            of xenon and krypton from nuclear plants.
                            Experienced in heating and drying art (Classes 423,
                            34, 110, 122, 236, 237, and 126), including: kilns
                            semiconductor diffusion furnaces, wafer boats, and
                            IPA vapor dryers.

1983 - 1989      Naval Surface Warfare Center, White Oak, MD;
                            Mechanical Engineer (Student Trainee, 1983 -
                            1986

                             Prepared test plans, managed tests, collected and
                             analyzed data, and published results supporting,
                             anti-submarine and special warfare (SEAL teams).
